In today’s society standards of appearance are vitally important for men and women, with more time and money being spent so people can look their best.
According to privatehealth.co.uk, women spend on average each year £2,055 on their appearance. £717 is spent on their bodies, whilst £289 is spent on Botox treatments and creams to help improve their complexion.
In recent years, cosmetic clinics have seen the number enquiries for mole removals significantly rise. This rise is from both men and women looking to gain perfect skin.
Moles are very common. It is generally thought that people with white skin on average have around 30 moles, with some people having up to 400. People are more likely to get a mole removed if it’s raised from the surface, catches on clothing or looks odd in any way.
A spokesperson from a UK cosmetic surgery clinic, said: “We are definitely seeing a massive increase in mole removal enquiries this year. We know that men and women are spending more on face and body maintenance, and simple mole removal can be very effective where there is a troublesome mole. We offer mole removal carried out under local anaesthetic as a simple day procedure by our expert cosmetic surgeons, so patients can be assured of a good result.”
